There are two programs where you can volunteer: Whiz Kidz or Success Club
"Whiz Kidz is a year-round after school and summer camp program for students in grades K-5th. Services include literacy, fitness, life skills, arts and crafts, field trips and homework help. The Whiz Kidz program has a strong emphasis on literacy, which we believe is the building block of all learning. Reading instruction happens daily (1/2 hour in afterschool and one hour during summer camp.) Students who are struggling readers receive extra small-group instruction with one of our 18 Florida Certified teachers."

"Success Club is a year-round after-school and summer camp program for students in grades 6-12th. Services include literacy, fitness, life skills, arts and crafts, field trips and homework help."

Personal Experience: "I have loved volunteering at Blue Lakes Elementary School for Hope For Miami. The faculty is extremely kind and respectful. The students are super fun and energetic! In addition to this, the energy is always positive and joyful. This is the perfect place to volunteer and to receive your mandatory high school hours."
